A thriving café known for its modern Australian menu, exceptional coffee, and welcoming atmosphere, looking for an Assistant Café Manager to help lead the team, keep service running smoothly, and contribute to the ongoing success of the venue.

The Role

Working closely with the Front of House Manager, you’ll be the second-in-charge, stepping in to lead when needed and ensuring every shift runs efficiently. This is a hands-on role, where you’ll balance operational oversight with team leadership and customer engagement.

  • Keeping things running smoothly – managing daily operations, setting up the café, and ensuring everything is service-ready
  • Leading the front-of-house team – supervising and supporting waitstaff, handling rosters, and keeping service at a high standard
  • Delivering a great experience – engaging with customers, managing bookings and walk-ins, and ensuring seamless table turnover
  • Jumping in where needed – whether it’s on the floor, assisting with takeaway orders, or supporting baristas
  • Maintaining high standards – overseeing cleanliness, stock levels, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Contributing to future growth – working closely with management as we expand, including an exciting new venue opening soon

  • Barista skills are a bonus, but not essential
