The Property

Get ready to make your mark at one of Alexandria’s most beloved venues. Recently renovated and constantly buzzing, this venue features a 150-seat restaurant, a vibrant sports bar, and a well-appointed gaming room with 30 machines.

The upcoming 30 seat lounge area will only add to the charm of this local hotspot. Whether catering to loyal regulars or drawing in newcomers, this venue is the place to be.

The Role

This isn’t just another management job—it’s your chance to step into a role with real growth potential. You’ll be primed to demonstrate your ability to lead, innovate, and drive business success. This is not a role where it’s set and forget and you’ll get bored, there’s three main areas where we’re looking for you to add value and help to develop the business using your expertise and your ideas to make a difference.

  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Lead through, “doing and showing” as well as being a positive influence with maturity
    • Oversee daily operations across the venue, from the bar and restaurant to the gaming floor.
    • Implement and refine SOPs to enhance efficiency and elevate service standards.
    • Ensure compliance with RSA and gaming regulations while maintaining a top-tier guest experience.
  2. Event & Function Expansion:
    • Grow the functions business, leveraging our unique spaces and recently renovated facilities.
    • Plan and execute innovative events that bring in new clientele and keep regulars coming back.
    • Collaborate on creative marketing strategies to position the venue as Alexandria’s go-to spot for events.
  3. Team Development & Culture:
    • Lead a dynamic team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are always at their best.
    • Engage directly with both staff and patrons to create a welcoming, enjoyable experience that reflects the venue’s vibrant character.

  • A natural leader who knows how to build, connect and lead from the front.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to drive business growth through operational excellence and creative event planning.
  • A customer service expert who’s passionate about creating memorable experiences for every guest.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong management experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in venues with multiple revenue streams.
  • Operational expertise in high-volume service, maintaining quality and consistency under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to leadership, with a focus on staff development and customer satisfaction.
  • An ability to innovate and bring fresh ideas to the table, particularly in events and functions.
  • A commitment to creating a positive, engaging atmosphere for both staff and patrons.

Perks & Details

  • Competitive dependent on experience, $85-90,000 + Super
  • Full-time role with a balanced 4-day work week, 3xPM and 1xAM
