The business & property

This is a brand-new premium accommodation venue within an established and highly regarded hospitality organisation. Designed to be a key player in the region’s corporate and events market, this 140-room property will offer business lounge facilities, conferencing spaces, and premium dining experiences. With an emphasis on corporate travel, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions), and premium leisure markets, the hotel requires a sales leader who can drive growth, revenue, and brand positioning.

The role sits within a multi-stakeholder ecosystem, working alongside the hotel’s General Manager, the club’s leadership team, external catering partners, and a dedicated revenue management consultancy to ensure sales success.

The role

An exciting opportunity for a Director of Sales & Marketing to shape and execute the hotel’s sales strategy, driving corporate, MICE, and leisure business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic sales leader, responsible for positioning the hotel as a premier destination while ensuring strong revenue growth and stakeholder alignment.

The Director of Sales & Marketing will develop and implement sales strategies to drive room bookings, corporate contracts, and conference/event sales. This role requires the ability to leverage and grow relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and key local stakeholders while ensuring a strong alignment with the club’s Functions & Events team. Working closely with the hotel’s revenue management team, the candidate will optimise pricing and occupancy strategies while maintaining brand integrity and aligning marketing efforts with business objectives.

Additionally, the role will involve developing RFP proposals to secure key corporate accounts and leading a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Your experience 

  • Extensive hotel sales experience, ideally at the mid-market to upscale level (Novotel, Crowne Plaza, Swissôtel, etc.).
  • Strong MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, & Exhibitions) expertise with a proven ability to drive corporate and conference bookings.
  • Commercially driven, with a strong focus on revenue optimisation and financial performance.
  • Adept at managing multiple stakeholders, working across departments and external partners.
  • Experience with Opera Cloud (PMS), Delphi (Conferencing & Events), and SenPOS (POS) systems is highly regarded.
  • Ability to educate and influence club leadership on hotel sales strategies, ensuring alignment between hospitality and club operations.
