Our client is seeking an experienced Event Sales Manager to lead the growth of their newly renovated, premium event venue. This exciting role will see you developing event strategies, fostering client relationships, and managing a variety of functions, from corporate events to weddings, in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for driving the venue’s event and function strategy, developing new business, and ensuring the smooth execution of all events. Working closely with the operations team and reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll oversee everything from intimate weddings to large corporate functions. This is a hands-on role, allowing you to shape the venue’s event offerings, collaborate with marketing, and position the business as a leader in the market.

You’ll join a fun, collaborative team that celebrates success with social events, monthly staff recognition, and paid volunteer days. The venue offers a competitive base salary of $100K, plus $20K commission for meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the event strategy for weddings, corporate functions, and community events.
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring an exceptional experience from booking through to event execution.
  • Developing new business opportunities and promoting event packages tailored to various occasions.
  • Overseeing event logistics and working closely with the marketing team to enhance the venue’s offerings.
  • Handling monthly reporting, client feedback, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service to guarantee repeat business.

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll need at least 3 years of experience managing events or functions, particularly in the wedding, club, or hospitality industry. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you’ll also have RSA & RCG certification (or a willingness to obtain), and relevant tertiary qualifications in Events, Hospitality, or a related field are a plus.
