We are thrilled to be working with this highly respected operator, especially with the expansion of their group early next year.
This new hospitality precinct is going to be a huge game changer to the area, adding on to what is already an award-winning venue.
The group is family owned and has an excellent reputation in SE QLD, especially for continuing to move forward with the times while still managing to instill their passion and love for hospitality. They also have great staff retention with some members of the team having worked for them for decades.
The Role
This is a unique role within the group, newly established to manage the pre-opening of the upcoming hospitality precinct, which includes accommodation, F&B, and event spaces. Additionally, you will oversee the existing high-volume venue, known for its large restaurant, sports bar, and café.
- Full set up of multi-site venue, including purchases and supplier negotiations.
- Ensure weekly and monthly labour and food costs are to budget
- Provide full menu execution support with standard recipes, preparation procedures, cost and service procedures, across all levels. Working closely with existing Head Chef and Senior Sous.
- Review all food cost-related matters and advise on possible areas where improved costs or improved quality is achievable
- Ensure the right people for the venues are selected, recruited and measurably trained
- Monitor and document staff performance, carrying out regular informal and formal reviews
What You Will Need
- Hands on with strong food knowledge.
- Experience in a high volume multi-outlet environment, preferably an opening.
- Excellent cooking skills and overall technical expertise.
- Having flexibility and dedication, combined with the ability to thrive under pressure and achieve results.
- The ability to lead from the front, in a ‘hands on’ manner and belief in teamwork, people, people’s development and training.
- Having excellent communication skills thus enabling him/her to efficiently co-ordinate and delegate effectively.
- Having a modern man-management style.
- Proven experience following and managing WHS, Food Safety and HACCP policies and procedures in order to comply with current and future legislation.
- Ability to motivate a diverse range of people and build rapport.
- Strong communication an interpersonal skills and a passion for quality customer service.
What You’ll Get
A salary range of $110 to $125K+S, depending on level of experience and skill set. Plus an annual bonus based on KPIs.
