We are excited to represent this client again for this unique opportunity for an Executive Chef on the Gold Coast. The role will oversee two modern Asian-inspired restaurants—one a renowned, award-winning dining destination about to undergo an exciting transformation, and the other a brand-new concept in one of the region’s thriving foodie hubs.
This original venue just goes from strength to strength and is now one of the most awarded restaurants on the Gold Coast, with modern Asian cuisine and an impressive wine list. It’s about to go through a significant tranformation with an complete renovation and extension.
The brand new restaurant will be a fresh, sassy younger sibling of the two, offering something a bit more playful and the chance to be super creative.
About the Opportunity
You’ll be given autonomy to create your own menus, sourcing from chosen suppliers in kitchen’s that are effecitvely brand new.
The chance to take on a more senior role of overseeing two businesses and passing on your expertise, while also remaining hands on.
About You
- Previous experience in Modern Asian cuisine
- Creative with menu design
- Effective with food costing and managing a kitchen budget
- Knows how to mentor or train kitchen staff – the team are young so need some strong leadership and guidance.
- Leads by example and takes charge
- Is calm and organised in a high volume and busy environment
- Determined to cement their reputation with one of the Gold Coast’s most distinguished operators.
