The Role
As Venue Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth service and a vibrant guest experience. Your responsibilities will encompass recruiting, training, and mentoring staff, maintaining the highest service standards, and overseeing rosters to ensure operational efficiency. You will also handle customer interactions with professionalism and care, collaborating closely with the kitchen team to align service goals while working with ownership to achieve quarterly sales and performance targets. You’re a seasoned café professional with strong leadership skills, a flair for customer service, and a hands-on approach to management. With experience in managing similar venues or stepping up from a supervisory role, you thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments. You bring a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring efficient operations, and delivering customer service excellence with a flexible and adaptable mindset to meet the venue’s dynamic needs. You recognise the importance of fostering a sense of community, building connections with regulars, and knowing your customers by name. With a passion for hospitality, you take pride in cultivating a welcoming environment where every guest feels appreciated.
Hours
This role offers a balanced schedule with a 38-40 hours per week rotating roster, primarily focusing on mornings and early afternoons. With opening hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, you’ll enjoy a structured work-life balance. Flexibility is offered, including the option to have a Saturday or Sunday off from time to time, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking a well-rounded schedule.
Salary
This position offers a competitive salary of $80,000 – $95,000 + Super per year, depending on experience. Staff also enjoy free meals during shifts, tips, and opportunities for growth as the company continues to expand.
