Understanding good hospitality is all about life study and this is something Lee has done in spades, travelling all over the world to recognise the core elements of how and why people do what they do.
Lee started in hospitality straight out of university where he found his dedication to hard work and ability to manage teams was not just appreciated but celebrated. Various management roles at large and well known restaurants in London, including Moro, followed before he moved to Australia where his growing love of fine dining found him on the doorstep of the renowned Longrain in Sydney. Lee’s time there and at Cho Cho San as restaurant manager highlighted the struggle that owners go through in trying to find the right people for their teams, so when Lee met Geremy from Placed he knew a new path was opening. Seven years later Lee runs our Brisbane operation, using his deep knowledge of hospitality to recruit for executive level roles for both back and front of house.
Lee brings his hardworking, personable and loyal traits to his style of recruitment, taking each role on as if he works in that business, understanding the small details, what the challenges are and what personalities are going to fit. Outside of the office Lee enjoys getting out in the bush camping and mountain biking, swimming with his 5 years old daughter and is thrilled that with live music back he can satisfy his sonic urges in venues across Brisbane.
